In my academic papers I decided to write about topics I was interested in. I also wrote about things I had personal experience in. I like writing about my personal connection to the topics of my papers because I feel that my readers will find it easier to make connections. My favorite part when writing these papers were my introductions. I feel like that is the most important part of every paper because that is where readers decide to continue reading or to dismiss the topic.
